My experience as a blogger

I like reading other people's blogs but I had never thought about starting my own blog. It was nice to talk about a topic, in this case traveling cheap, from my point of view.

Writing a post might be tricky sometimes because you have to tell things that are true, give recognition to webs or photos you mention and all that making it interesting and catching.

Overall, I really like the experience of writing my own blog although I don't think I will start a new one in a near future.

Best online work 2015

There are plenty of websites that can help you to save money when it comes to traveling. All of them try to look for the best prices and bargains online but, there is one website that I would consider the best one: Kayak.es

This web allows the users to compare between the different offers of flights, hotel stays and so on. It is totally free, there is no need to register and it is really fast.

I think that Kayak.es is by far the best online work for traveling cheap among the dozens of websites you can find out there. Triavago and expedia are other examples of these type of webs that are also really good but don't give the users the same facilities Kayak.es does.

Being a blogger for me

I had always wanted to start a blog, but I dind´t know how to do it properly. In this subject I increase my knowledge about blogs and social media, starting my participation in bloggers' life.

Being a blogger had helped me become more responsible and authoritarian. Knowing that everyday few people may read your blog helps you to be more responsible and careful in your work.
Apart from this blog, I had started another one as a hobby with one friend, a fashion blog called Pizzico di glamour that we will continue posting as soon as we can.

Here I leave you my links' posts about traveling cheap around Europe,

Social travelers

Since the creation of the first social network, hundreds of different one have been stablished. They include topics such as food, sports, and of course, traveling.

There are lots of different kinds of social networks that could be really useful at the moment of traveling, and I´m going to talk about them.

  • In Pinterest, there is a feature which has been created just for travel. It´s called Pinterest Pins. They all have a location, and it is really useful for making short journeys. Then, you can share all your pins with friends, and let them comment their own ideas or add more pins.
  • Download the Foursquare app from your mobile phone, and directly see what people think about restaurants around you. You won't have to search for a good looking restaurant anymore. Trust me, that after having visited two museums and a cathedral, you will want to eat as sooner as possible, and this app will help you finding the best options
  • Instameet, is a tool made for the community of Instragram. What this app does, is create meetings for enthusiasts of the well know picture sharing network, Instagram. Making new friends in different cities with the same passion as you has never been so easy!

Main points of a good blogger

This month in multimedia classes I’ve got the opportunity of participate in a little project; the creation of a blog. At first I wasn’t very excited about it because I got not idea on writing and posting every week opinions or information about something.

The following weeks I found it easier and funny because I realize that putting information about how to travel around Europe in a cheap way can help quite a lot of people. So, it’s not only about posting information, also it is about helping people in a different and honestly way because you talk and give advice through your personal experience.

Furthermore, writing a blog it’s a responsible work because you have to be honest. Also you might be a responsible blogger because if you have followers, they expect you to post every week. So I think that if you want to create a blog you have to spend time on it and doing it with dedication.

A noob blogger

This has been my first experience in blogging so far, and I quite have liked it. I would never thought that I was going to be posting written content regularly, and now I don't discard to continue doing it by myself.

Blogging on a regular basis requires commitment and dedication. You have to organize yourself and take it as a hobby, if you want success. You don't have to take it as an obligation, because you won't put the same effort on it, and the result will surely be poorer. For a successful blog, time and investigation is needed. You can't publish any news without having checked its veracity.

I have also learnt some tricks to make people care abut my blog, and also come things that would prevent me from receiving fines, such as avoiding plagiarism.

What's the best social network for travel?

This is one of the most frequent questions of anyone who want to do a trip. For this reason im going to talk you about two good sources where you can find the latest travel news, vacation tips and advice, travel apps and more. This are GogoBot, and IgoUgo.
To take full advantage of the first website, you need to be willing to be friendly with strangers. Because it is people you've never met who may have the most up-to-date scoop on the best restaurants in L.A., or the smartest way to get to downtown from the airport during a transit strike in Paris. If you're comfortable with creating a new persona for yourself as a capital-T traveler, GogoBot is for you. The one downside is that Gogbot's community is still fairly small.
A site with a much larger pool of travel hobbyists (half-a-million travelers, in fact) is IgoUgo, a community that's overseen by Travelocity. This past fall, it added social tools, such as an "I've Been Here" feature and a "Get Ideas from Other Travelers" button, which together can help you to find like-minded travelers and learn about their tips as well as share your own advice.

For more information you can visit both websites;

Blue Air

We can find different low cost companies to travel all around Europe. Today i'm going to talk about a low cost Airline called; Blue Air.

Blue Air (legally Blue Air - Airline Management Solutions S.R.L) is a Romanian low cost airline, with its main base at Henri Coandă International Airport. This Romanian Low cost company offers daily connections from Romania with France, Germaine, Italy, Spain, Portugal and England.
Booking tickets it’s not the only option in this company. If you go on his web you can find also information about the company, where they introduce their selves a little more to be closer with their customers;

“Our low cost model had been the same for the last years, and during this period some new companies had born based in our Company. In spite of this, Blue Air is always one more step ahead. One of our characteristic things is the smart flying.”

Also they offer you the option of make some suggestions and to contact them if you have some doubts. So this company is not only abou prices, also they try to be friendly with their clients. You can verify this visiting the company website.

Sources

I personally don't use many online sources as all of my entries have come from personal experience and advice given by people who have experienced it, however I've posted links to trivago.com hoteles.com and eurail.com which are the sites I recomend using before traveling

Money saving websites

Traveling doesn't have to break the bank and there are plenty of places that will help you find the best vacation for your budget. Getting discounts and the insider scoop is possible with now using some online resources.

These are some of the most useful websites online that can save you a fortune:
Hostel Bookers is the easiest way to book hostels all over the world, there you can find prices, customers reviews and amenities.
Home exchange is a different accommodation from the one we are used to, you list your house on the site, find another house where you would like to stay, and contact the member to see if they want to trade homes for a bit. This exchange system lets you live like a local in a comfortable house or apartment instead of a tiny and expensive hotel room.
Couch surfing is a web that connects people who want to spend a night on somebody's couch and save hundred of dollars on hotel costs! CouchSurfing is a worldwide community of amazing hosts and adventurous travelers seeing the world on the cheap.
When it comes to destination guides and travel communities, get the lowdown on your locale with destination guides and reviews for what to see and do, how to get around, where to eat and sleep, and information about local customs and processes. Listen to the people who have actually been there and done that.
The Backpacker allows people to see reviews of local bars, restaurants, accommodations, attractions, and tours. All reviews are user-submitted, and many places have multiple reviews.
Wiki Travel is just like Wikipedia.org but for locales. It's free, complete, and a reliable worldwide travel guide written by actual travelers. It's also a great resource for learning about your destination cities before you start planning a trip.

This sources are really helpful for people who want to travel but unfortunately can't afford to do it. This way, there's no excuse for not traveling!

Traveling cheap IS possible!

Let me show you a famous website that guarantees the best avaliable prices, ' Booking.com '. You only have to write where do you want to go, your chek-in and your chek-out date and how many people do you want to go . ' Booking.com ' is the world leader in booking accommodation online. It is good not also for leisure but also for business. As an example of this, you can specify it when you are looking for any place to stay.

There are a lot of benefits to all costumers of Booking.com as it doesn´t matter if you are staying in the city, by the coast or in the countryside, this website offers you the best available rates.
It also have no reservations fees and your credit card and personal information are encrypted.

According to a recent data, published in their website, 6.3 million room nights are booked on their website every week.
As a personal opinion, everytime I went to another city I used to do all my bookings with 'Booking.com'. You should try it!!

Traveling with InteRail

There are a lot of countries in Europe that are worth to be visited but, unfortunately, not everyone have the chance to do it. One of the most common reasons that discourage people from traveling is money because, as everybody knows, flights, trains and transport are, in general, really expensive. That's why a different way of traveling is becoming more and more popular in Europe: InterRail.

InterRail connects several countries from Europe and buying a pass is a railway ticket, it allows unlimited rail travel in and between all participating countries for a certain period of time. More than thirty countries participate in this railway web, such as Spain, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Greece, France and so on. These way, people who want to visit more than a single country could do it, spending a few days in each country but saving much more money than traveling in a traditional way.

Most of InterRail travelers are young people who are backpacking with friends, looking for knowing a few countries, partying on each of the stops and saving money. There are also adults and seniors who use InterRail but it's more usual to see people in their twenties traveling this way.

People under 26 would have to pay 325€ for two weeks and 461€ for a whole month.
Prices for adults over 26 are a little bit higher, 414€ for two weeks and 626€ for a month.

The InterRail program launched in 1971 as InterRail 72 limiting to 21 or younger travelers and it covered twenty one countries of Europe, including Belgium, France, West an East Germany, Denmark, Hungary...

InterRail experience:

A New experience

From the last years, people all around the world search a cheaper way of traveling. Previously, it wasn't as easy as today, because nowadays you can find different tips for traveling for free or in a cheaper way by searching information on internet.
To prove that, i've been searching trustworthy pages on internet as if i want to go anywhere. In my research, i've found a blog where some people talks about their experiences traveling, using the transports they mention on it. Here you have the link of the blog where you can read about their trips at the same time they talk about their personal experience. For example one of them says : " I managed to save a few hundred dollars each time I’ve bought a rail pass". So, he or she talks about a personal moment at the same time that comments about the Eurail, (you can see it in the blog).

Also, in the blog you can find related posts, comments, trip plannings or travel guides that will help you.
Another usefull organization apart of all the mentioned on the blog, is the student agency bus. This agency allows students to travel in a very cheaper way by bus and also  in a international way.

http://www.studentagencybus.com/

In The blog yoou can find a map where you can see all the places where the students agency bus works.
So, with all those examples that i've found, i tought that you will be able to find more similar ways of traveling in a cheaper way, and not only in Europe, because if you want you can do it all around the wolrd.

Traveling as a backpacker

Today, we are going to talk about a curious way to travel. Not many people are used to this method of traveling around different cities, but definitely is one of the most cheaper ones.

The essence of backpacking, is to carry all your possessions and clothes in a backpack, trying to travel as cheap as possible, using hostels and public transport. Backpackers usually travel around Europe visiting the most number of cities and countries, and usually are longer than conventional vacations, lasting normally at least a month.

The first thing you have to do if you want to make this trip, is to find some partners who have the same willings as you and feel that this holidays could be interesting. The second step, once you have found your partners, is to organize your trip, taking into account the cities no one wants to loose.

The best method to travel cheap, is to choose an starting point and an arrival destination, and if it´s possible, not to be the same one. If you have to take a plane, you have to know that prices might be the same or lower, if your starting and finishing cities are different. So, my recommendation is to research on the prizes of the flights! Kayak is a web that searches economical flights for you, and even compares itself to other webpages.

The next thing you want to do, is to research and read different types of reviews about cities you are staying in, and check the recommendations about that city. Remember that they may be written by people that have visited it, so they should be pretty useful. I personally recommend to plan your entire trip only after you have read this reviews, in order to organize the days you are staying in each city, becouse as you can understand, Paris has more to see than Toledo. In TripAdvisor you will be able to see reviews of restaurants, tours and hotels, all of them made by users. You can also read about places that you would not be able to find in travel guides.

Remove your money fears and start traveling around the world.

For the last 3 or 4 years, caused by the increase of people who want to travel, quite a lot of low cost companies had born taking advantage of the situation.

This summer I wanted to travel to Croatia with one friend and we had to search a flight, a bus and a hotel. We thought that it was going to be the expensive trip ever, but instead of that we found a flight that cost only 22 pounds to London and 54 pounds back to Pamplona. We found this because as I said there are lots of companies like Ryanair or Vueling that makes offers to travelers. Its a good opportunitie for students for example.

In the other hand, nowadays all the most visited capitals are full of many hostels that are for people who don’t want to spend money in the stay. So we found a cheap hostel that it’s not like a five stars hotel but it was sufficient. Besides, for choosing your hotel you have a lot of webs where you can compare prices and like this, you can chose the best option according to your situation. Some examples are Trivago or Tripadvisor.

So if you want to travel and your only problem is money, in this blog you will find different options and tips to do it without money fears.  My personal experience to Croatia was good and simple, because I’ve found a cheaper way to do it.

Looking for a cheaper way of traveling

Most people like traveling, but the high prices of stays, flights and sightseeing discourage them from spending their money on knowing the world. That's why in the last few years, several webs have been created in order to saving money when it comes to traveling. These webs allow people to compare all the hotel or plane offers available for free and this way they don't need to hire a travel agent.
Thanks to these type of services, many people have saved lot of money and traveling is known to recently have increased.
Traveling the world, knowing new countries and learning about new places and cultures is a really beautiful experience and it's was a pity that people couldn't enjoy it because of the money deal. Now, they have a new choice of traveling with the low-cost options offered also on webs such as Trivago, Kayak.es, and so on.
I would recommend everyone to save a little bit of their time and money to travel, it's an enriching and exciting sensation that everyone should experience.

Some links of these type of webs:

Another step, traveling cheap

As I have been traveling with my family for the past 18 years, traveling cheap hasn´t been an issue for me. I have travelled all around Europe and America and I have been in fabulous touristic places. Now, since I am 18 years old and I have started traveling by myself, the biggest problem that I (and most travelers around my age) have, is money. As I´m an student I cannot afford to pay luxurious hotels and flights, I think that this is a topic that fits my situation like a glove.

So, in this blog, I´m going to try to make some research in this topic and give different kinds of advises or who knows, even personal experiences.

Triptodiscover gives us 27 incredible locations around Europe. You can choose your favorite one!
